The Famicom disk system, and how to fix `em

Apologies for the lengthy delay, I have been busy getting my mini web shop up and running - it's now LIVE!

The Famicom Disk System is a funny piece of hardware, the toy like appearance of a Famicon (Japanese NES) stacked on one of these maroon plastic slabs is pushed further into fisher price aesthetic thanks to the Bright yellow plastic disks used for the games. You almost expect them to play a tinkly nursery rhyme instead of booting up Metroid!

NOOOooooo!!, the local BOOK OFF has decided to ship out ALL their retro gear to another unknown shop.. Now my closest digging spot is about 6 stations further out, so my lunchtime stalking missions are over!

The staff said its all been shipped off to "maybe Yokohama or somewhere"....

Out in the sticks : where the big shops are!

If you`re a fan of the Japanese video game TV show ”Game Center CX”, you may have seen the episode where Arino visits a huge used goods warehouse outside of Tokyo, known as "Chiba Kanteidan".

What you may not know is that Kanteidan is a chain of stores located countrywide and Chiba is a very large area.
Chiba alone has over 10 of these warehouses!
